I was counting the different chapters of my life and ran out of fingers…
I’m a divorced woman in her early 60’s living on the Central Coast of California. I’ve created a niche for myself as a therapeutic body worker; I release the pain that is stored in muscle tissue. There is no prospect of retirement, which, so far, is okay with me. Ask me in 10 years.
The intent of this blog is to be a personal journal of the events of my life, articles and books I find of interest, and a chronicle of the ongoing processes that are important to me:
-simplification/sustainability/conscious living
-engagement/communication
-curiosity/growth
-spirituality/unification/holodynamics
There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that when a child is born invisible red threads connect that child’s soul to all those people – present and in the future – who will play a part in that person’s life. As each birthday passes, those threads shorten and tighten, bringing closer those people who are fated to be together. It is said this magical cord may tangle or stretch but never break.

Hi
Hi & welcome
Hi Joan,
I like it here. Great job!! I see now that it checked me in with an email address I’m not using right now. No wonder I’m not getting your notifications or theirs. Well, if you like it here, I can come over and check. It is different and seems quite fine and A-OK!
I love the ancient Chinese belief on red threads.
I learned about it from my friend Donna. At her birthday party everyone (there were about 40 people) passed around a spool or red thread, back and forth, until, of course, we were all connected. Vern does something very similar in his workshop, except once connected, we have to figure out how to get untangled but stay connected!
