I didn’t know that WWI Veterans who protested for benefits in Washington DC for were fired on. Not the sort of thing that comes up on Veterans day newscasts, which have never seemed relevant to me.
Edward Tick talks about the history of veterans in the U.S. and shares some ideas about how to change the culture to a more supportive one. His thought provoking interview in The Sun got my attention. He informs based on years of experience, covering the history, techniques that work, and, most profoundly, a plea for help. A must read for those want to get beyond the bumper sticker.
His books are available from Powell’s and Amazon.
